Every July, the Rockcastle County Fair transforms the fairgrounds into a week of carnival lights, livestock shows, and community pride — a tradition generations of local families have grown up with.
What to Expect
- Livestock shows — cattle, goats, sheep, and poultry raised by local 4-H and FFA youth

4-H & Youth Exhibits
The heart of the fair is its youth program. Local students spend months raising animals and preparing exhibits, competing for ribbons and premiums. The livestock auction at week's end supports their next projects.
Tips for Visiting
- Evenings are cooler and liveliest; arrive before dusk for parking
- Bring cash — some vendors don't take cards
